Rasa Draft Adult - Adoption, Rescue for sale in East Hampton, Connecticut

Rasa is a 2004 Percheron cross mare. Rasa arrived in December of 2016 when she was surrendered by her owner who was no longer able to care for her. Rasa was rescued from a Premarin (PMU) farm as a baby. Rasa is healthy, sound, barefoot and an easy keeper. Rasa has not had much training but has come a long way with her handling and ground manners with the volunteers here at CDHR. She has a wonderful personality and really enjoys time with her people friends. She is always one of the horses to have her head over the fence to say hello to all. Rasa has the potential to be an enjoyable riding horse with the appropriate training and experienced handler/rider to guide her. She also would make an amazing companion horse.

Important Notes:
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, and reside no more than a 4-hour drive away from East Hampton, CT 06424. We require both veterinary and personal references. We perform farm inspections to ensure that you provide a safe, hazard-free environment, with adequate shelter and free access to water (potable water other than a pond or stream).

We will not approve premises with inadequate or unsafe fencing, including smooth electric wire (unless it is secondary as a toprail protector) or barbed wire. Applications are only available through our website at /available-horses.html
